First of all we’d like to thank you for taking the time to check out our health and fitness blog! Our main focus is to provide our readers with accurate, up to date information about all things health and wellness. All of the articles on our blog are backed by peer reviewed sources and written by a seasoned veteran in the the fitness industry. So without further ado, let us introduce the people behind Go Personal Best!

Susan Manning

Susan has worked in the fitness industry for over 37 years and holds Eight Certifications: ACE Medical Exercise Specialist, Weight Management Specialist, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness instructor, BCRPA (TFL: Trainer of Fitness Leaders), Personal Trainer, Weight Training, Group Fitness and Fitness Theory, and ACSM Group Fitness.

“Fitness and Health has been a part of my life since I can remember. I love to learn and I love to teach others. I have managed fitness clubs and ran multiple fitness departments over the years along with teaching courses and workshops. I wanted to find a way to be able to reach out and help more people, to change lives for the better”

Cory Manning

Cory has always been an athlete and has made health and fitness an intregel part of his life. An avid soccer player he knows the importance of good nutrition and the benefits it has to not only daily living but sports as well.

The Purpose of Go Personal Best

To educate and help others who are trying to find their way in the massive amount of health and fitness information that is out there…. To sift through the misinformation and give scientific and well researched articles in a simplistic format for the general population.

We also wanted to have a ‘Trainers’ section for coaches, Personal Trainers and Fitness Enthusiasts who want to go into deeper depth on topics and anatomy or to get tips on how to train different populations.

We chose the name GO Personal Best as we felt that is something we all want to achieve. To become our personal best in all aspects of our lives. Physical, mental and emotional.

The “GO” is your starting point…. On your marks…. Get set ….. GO!

Being in the Fitness industry for this many years I (Susan) have seen many trends come and go. Many weight loss programs, good and bad. Cory and I decided it was a good time to take what we know and send it out to the world… so with my background and Corys technical skills we are able to bring this blog to life.
